he European Association for Aquatic Mammals (E.A.A.M.) The European Association for Aquatic Mammals (EAAM) was formed in 1972 in The Netherlands as an interest group of zoological parks and individuals working with marine mammals under human care. In August 2012, the EAAM was re-established as a non-profit association in Brussels, Belgium.

The EAAM’s membership includes veterinarians, biologists, zoo and marine park directors and managers, trainers and caretakers, researchers, students and other persons who devote a significant amount of time to the in situ and ex situ welfare and conservation of marine mammals through research, medical care, training, education, conservation, management and related activities.


Follow Andriana back to the sea!!!

Andriana, a rescued Mediterranean monk seal has been rehabilitated and released by the greek NGO MOm with the help of EAAM. We can follow her movements thanks to a satellite tag funded by EAAM.
